Problem with MACRO recording

When I recorded a macro while formating a chart, it did not show any thing
except some statements regarding chart and series selection. Do I have to
turn on some option before I record a macro?

Describing the macro recording of charts in Excel 2007, authors have used
terms like "virtually useless" and "huge gaps." A workaround is to record in
Excel 2003 and then modify the code for any necessary changes for Excel
2007. You could ask specific question in the Charting newsgroup.

Thanks for your reply. I do not have EXCEL 2003 any more on my machine. Can
you suggest something else
