problem with microsoft office

since I install micrsoft office 2003 my computer have slow down and same time
goes off then restart againg, and when I want to open a file takes time to
open any ideas thankyou

Too keep things on the up and up, I'm going to assume Microsoft Office
Professional as this is an Access database forum.

Does your computer have enough memory and hard drive storage open?
Have you updated and run both your virus and spyware checkers?
Have you checked your memory for problems? There are some freeware memory
checkers out on the internet.
Any other programs having trouble?
