Problem with MS Word or Windows?

What could be wrong with my parent's MS Word...or could it be something
wrong with their copy of windows XP Family?

I noticed two things wrong with it.

First off, I reinstalled windows xp for them a month ago, and the
computer is old, its a celeron baring able to have enough ram and
harddrive space to run XP.

They get documents written in Chinese emailed to them from friends, so
the text needs to be vertical instead of horizontal.
I did some research and saw that I need to go into:
File->Page Setup->Document Grid
But after the reinstall, for some reason now I dont see a Document Grid
tab anymore.
Is it somewhere else and my memory is hazy?

Also, WHENEVER I go into Page Setup and click a tab, I get this popup:
Server Busy - "This action cannot be completed because the document -
MS Word program is not responding. Choose switch to and correct the
problem."
Please take a look at the image:

What does this mean? They only have MS Word running nothing else.
Yes the computer is connected to the internet via cable modem.

Is the problem with the windows XP or MS Word?

What can I do to fix this?

Thanks

You haven't said what version of Office is currently being used. If it
is Office 2003, then Detect & Repair may solve the problem.

If you have an older version then try changing the language bar back to
to default. So if the fefault was English then change it back to
English.

I believe it is Office 2000.

The default language on Word is english.
But their friends send them documents in chinese.

Have you seen that Server error before?

Ok, got one part fixed.
The "document grid" tab.

Apparently I needed to go into Microsoft Office Tools -> Language
Settings, then add Asian languages.
Then the document grid tab appears.

I did a Win XP "repair" - it basically did a delete and re-install of
xp, did not know it was going to do that.

I also did a MS Office repair

But when I go into the Page Setup option, I still get that 'Server
Busy' popup.

Any idea what it is?

What does the error mean?

Im not trying to really do anything other than change tabs in there,
and I get the popup.

Thanks
