Problem with Ms Works Suite

I have Ms Works Suite 2004 which includes Ms Word XP. If I
put up a blank page in Word, type a line of text at the
top of the page, and then go to Print Preview, the line of
text appears at the BOTTOM of the page and prints
accordingly.

The only way I can prevent this is, having put up a blank
page, press ENTER repeatedly until the page break line
appears. If I then go back to the top of the page and type
a line everything is normal.

Any help would be appreciated.

In Word, click on File | Page Setup | Layout tab | Vertical alignment: Top |
OK.
