Problem with Multiple Master Fonts

Adobe¹s Multiple Master font Myriad doesn¹t display weights such as
semibold, bold and black in Word 2004. All type is showing up as the regular
weight. Same doc displays fine in Word v.X. Anyone in a similar situation
and found a workaround?
