Problem with Office 2002 caused by Vista

N

Noel S Pamfree

A friend's new pc runs in Vista but she only had Microsoft Office 2002.
When she writes a document in Word and wished to email it she finds that
there are no contact addresses in the address book.

I assume this is because Vista uses Mircosoft Mail and not Outlook Express
and that Word is looking in the wrong place for the address book.

Any ideas how to put the matter right or will she have to buy Office 2007?

Office 2002 is not supported in Vista. Office 2003 and 2007 are the only ones that are supported.

AFAIK the only way to email from any version of Office before 2003 in Vista
is to save the file to the hard drive, open the email program with it's
included addresses (whichever one your friend decides to use), attach the
file and then email. An extra step or two but it will work.
