Problem with Office SP3 installation

I tried to install SP3 on an administrative installation of Office 2000 SR1. The system told me that the patch cannot be installed because the file is missing or the patch is for another software version. The patch I have downloaded is named "o2ksp3a.exe" and were indicated for admin installations on Microsoft Website
If I try to install SP2 on the same machine I have no problems: only SP3 gives me errors
Any suggestion? Where is the problem
