Problem with ON Text file Importer Powertoy

P

PT

I downloaded and apparently successfully installed the Text File Importer
Powertoy. Now I'm having trouble figuring out the process for running it.
Let's say I have a folder "Text Files" sitting on my desktop and containing
several hundred text files (i.e. .txt extension.

After installing the power toy I right click the folder icon and select
"Open as Notebook in ON". A notebook opens but it's empty. If then I
select all the .txt files, I don't have the ON option as a choice.

I also note that in Tools | Options | Add-Ins, the only item appearing is
the previously installed "Sort pages"

What's missing or wrong in my procedure

Hello PT,

Just run the powertoy from the Start menu \ Programs. It runs outside of
OneNote. It should be named "OneNote Text File Importer" with a reddish
OneNote icon.

It has the UI to browse for the folder on your desktop, and has an "old
school" tree view of your notebooks for where you want to import the text
files to.
