Problem with Outlook 2003 and Office 2000

Hi

Having just installed Outlook 2003 and Exchange 2003, I
was hoping for an easy life, but then I remembered this is
Microsoft Software.
I now have a situation when a user can look at a mail
message one minute, then go back a minute later, and the
preview is not available any more. Other users go to open
an attachment, and are told that this feature is not
available. If they come out of Outlook and go back in,
this sometimes cures the problem, but invariably, they
have to reboot the PC. I think it has to do with a clash
between the two Office Assistants.
Has anyone had a similar problem, and have they found a
cure?

Cheers

Why do you suspect the Office Assistants? Please specify the two Office
Assistants parts as you never mentioned two different clients but just one.

Also note that the OoOA information is stored in the mailbox and not on the
client.

Hi

Both Outlook 2003 and Office 2000 install different Office
Assistants. I have uninstalled the OA from both software
installs, but am having mixed results. It has helped, but
there are still PC's having problems.

I also noticed that the ADO directory on Microsoft Shared,
has a file with a TLB extension. This seems to be used by
Outlook 2003, as well as my Access Runtime install. I am
not sure if this is a further possible cause. Not sure
what ADO's are used by which programs.

Cheers
