Problem with Outlook Express (e-mail)

Yesterday I sent a longer than usual (almost full page,
20KB)letter to the wrong address. This morning tried to
resend it to the right address and discover it my "Sent
Items" folder to be truncated (appr. 75%). Somethink
shortened my message.
Where is my original e-mail, on my hard disk or on the
server of Road Runner?
Can I retrieve my old e-mail and how?
Shall I change any settings on my Outlook
Express/computer?
HELP!!!
