We just upgraded to a new 2003 server. Our Domain had to be changed and the
profiles on users computers changed. I think I've found a better way to
migrate profiles than the transfer files and settings wizard, but one of the
early machines I worked on is used by an MS Outlook user. The Ms wizard did
not migrate any of her outlook settings/files. I've had to fiddle with the
permissions quite a bit on the server in order for her to be able to access
her pst file. Now she finally has access, but her contacts won't open from
within a mail message (like if she clicks the book icon next to the "TO:"
field.
The error is
The contacts list associated with the address book could not be opened. I t
may have been moved or deleted, or you may not have permissions to open it...
It goes on. I strongly believe it is permission in some way, but I can go
into the contacts directly and edit her contacts.
