Problem with POP account settings

Hi!

I have 3 POP accounts in my Outlook, which are from Yahoo, Gmail and my
company's own domain name. Everytime I start up Outlook, the Incoming mail
server setting is messed up. Instead of being "pop.mail.yahoo.com", it now
reads "localhost". It's the same problem for the other 2 email accounts
settings also.

And I find that my User Name reads as "johndoe/pop.mail.yahoo.com", instead
of just "johndoe", which is the way I set it up.

What's happening, and how do I solve this problem? The other users in my
company get this problem too. Is it because of Exchange?

Our company uses Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2003 in our company.

Thanks a lot for any suggestions/ solutions!

Aloha Ben!

Thanks for enlightening me on this. So is there a way we can resolve this
without turning off the antivirus POP scanning? You are right, we are NOT
allowed to turn it off.

Cheers!

See the available options in your virus scan solution but again; since you
are in a corporate environment even if there was such an option you wouldn't
be able to change it. Contact your admin for possible solutions instead.

Is it causing problems collecting mail or does it just bug you?

PS, if you use Exchange server, why are you connecting to it using POP? That
defeats the reasons for using exchange. I'm also surprised your company
allows personal accounts in the profile - although that is likely why they
force scanning on users.
