problem with populating email from address book/contacts

when i am about to send an email, i would like to be able
to start on the email address and if it is in my address
book/ in all my contacts, I would like it to pop up, but
it doesn't. does anyone have any suggestions???

you don't mention what email program or version so i'm assuming Outlook and
the latest version (2002)

go to the tools menu and choose options and then the preferences tab. click
on the Email Options button and then the Advanced Email Options button.
Then find Suggest names while completing To, CC, and BCC fields and make
sure there's a check in front of that. Click ok's until you get out of the
options window.
