Problem with PowerPoint Temp File

Gary Ludwig

Recently I have started to have a problem where I am unable to save a file
in progress because PowerPoint has a problem accessing the Temp file.

I can do a "save as" and continue working but this gets old pretty quickly
and then I have multiple versions that I have to trash after the fact.

I got to where after trashing preferences and all the other maintenance
things I could think of I reinstalled Office 2004 and things were fine for
awhile, but it seems to be cropping up again.

Has anyone else figured out a solution to this?

Did you use Apple's Disk Utility to repair file permssions?

Yes, I do that quite regularly. It didn't reveal anything unusual and it
didn't seem to help noticeably, either. It's an odd, intermittent sort of
occurrence.
