Problem with PPT Toolbox and OSX Spaces feature

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

Hi,

I use the spaces feature on OSX and regularly switch between them. The problem is when I do this with powerpoint, sometimes the Toolbox palette jumps between spaces. Each time this happens, it has to be fetched back to the PPT "Space".

Is there not a solution for this?

At the moment I keep the palette closed until I need to use it, then open it. Is there not a better solution?

I realised that there is a comment about this in the "Help and How-to" section of this site.

It only states that Apple is aware of the issue, but suggests no solution. Also, is Microsoft aware of the issue?

The bottom line is that Office 2008 is not compatible with spaces in OS X
10.5.x & probably never will be. My understanding is that Office 2008 was
coded based on how Leopard was intended to implement Spaces. Apple changed
courses after it was too late to rewrite the windowing aspect of 2008 apps &
it's too complex a task to be handled by an update. There is probably room
for argument on both sides, but...

Regardless of what the facts are, my personal expectation is that Office
will not be compatible with Spaces until a) the next major release of OS X
[Snow Leopard] or b) the next major release of Office. Stay on top of
updates to both - I may very well be wrong
