Problem with Preoject Server 2003 SP1

We have started implementing SP1 at our clients this week, but quickly
stopped: At two installations out of three, we encountered the following :
When logging in the first time after the upgrade, a EULA screen appears.
After choosing the "Accept" option, the same screen appears again - An
endless loop. After thinking that perhaps there was a clash with the
existing Office Web Components, we first deleted them, and tried again to
log on. This did not help. We then had to revert back to the pre-SP1 status
: Uninstall Project Server, restore the pre-SP1 database, end re-install.

We'll be sending out a circular to our clients this morning, advising them
not to install Project Server 2003 SP1 until further notice.

We have not encountered any problems with Project Pro SP1

Has anybody else encountered this or other problems?

Internet Explorer->Tools->Internet Options->Settings->View Objects
We deleted all the "PJ*" objects.

Interesting - Why would that make a difference? Even if the delete method
does make a difference, that doesn't solve the larger problem: We cannot
afford to roll out SP1 at our enterprise clients if we have to go to
hundreds of desktops aftewards and do brain surgery on each desktop.

I agree that the registration of the activeX objects is a rotten pain for a
certain percentage of machines. The reason why you need to go to the command
prompt is that the hidden files don't get deleted from Windows Explorer. If
you have clients with hundreds of desktops, then your clients are likely to
have SMS or another remote management system that can be a big help in these
situations.
