Hello
Situation:
Some workstations with:
- XP professional
- Office Basic edition 2003
and
somewhere in network is OKI printer C5250A
Some stations - no problems with printing from Office
more then half of them..... big problem
Configuration
Printer
Local > TCP/IP port > printer's IP
Protocol LPR> IP quene
Print from:
- notepad - works
- WWW browser - works
- InfranView - works
- MS office - works 'other way' :-(
Let's print ie. from Word (Excel etc. Doesn't matter)
a) File >Print
b) Select printer > OKI
c) and That's all ..... Hang-up .... after klick "No response"
after close ... "Operation not allowed" etc.
How to solve:
1) let's set OKI as dafault printer
- yes! works - it's printing, printing, printing.....and hangs after print
sometimes aplication sometimes Windows
2) ok - around solution - open printer window and drag and drop document
the same - print and hang - as above
3) another - popup (right mouse button) - print - the same
Changes:
- reinstalation of Office - doesn't help
- two way communications - no change
- turn off backgroung printing - no change - prints and hangs
- protocol type: raw, lpr - no change
As I said problem is with Office "only" ... notepad, etc. print is working
Some stations are working OK all the rest - with problem.
Do you have any soluton ?
