Problem with Project Server 2007 by changing the name of Project

I have a problem with my resources. When I change the name of a project, the
resources are blocked by the old project AND the new project. So some guys
have a workload of 200% on some days and I can’t delete the old blocked
resources from that old and not more existing project. Did someone know this
Problem or / and a way to fix this?
There’re many hotfixes since the SP1 for Project Server 2007 but I can’t
find any that fix this problem. Some of that hotfixes cause other errors
(http://projectserverblogs.com/?p=1197). So I didn’t know if I can trust this
hotfixes.

Marcel,

just so that I understand what you are saying. You have a project with
resources associated to and you renamed the project and now the resource has
200% overallocation?
If this is the case can you please describe the way you renamed the project?
This sounds more like that you didnt rename the project but created a new
one.
Thanks

Hi Marc,

I click Project Center -> In the Project Name column, I click on the project
that name I want to change -> Edit Project Properties -> chnage the name ->
then I click Save and Publish.

After I do this and look in the "resource availability" (of one in this
projects name I changed allocated resource) the old name of that project is
displayed. Why?

I think, the "200%-thing" was not the right way to explain you what my
problem is.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Marcel,

I am sorry, but I have not come accross this issue before. When I rename the
project it seems to work fine. My resources are still allocated as expected.
I am sorry but I dont know why you have this issue

I change the name and click the save&publish button.
This project/projects aren't a subproject of another project.i know there's
a problem/bug with renaming subprojects. but we have the problem with
subprojects AND non subprojects.

i search the web for days, but didn't found a solution for this problem.
weeks ago i install the sp1 and now i see there a many hotifix (packages)
with some new bugs aviable ;)
is there a hotfix you can recommend, that perhaps fix this problem?
