Problem with Resource Availability view in PS2003

I have been working on archiving completed projects in our project server for
the purposes of removing completed tasks from resource timesheets. During
this process I am changing the Booking Type for the resources to Proposed in
each project that I archive.

My questions are:

1. Shouldn't the legend in the RA view no longer show archived projects?

2. What should I be seeing if I select to Include Proposed Bookings versus
not?
Our view has this option selected and shows us a red line for the
resources availability and then shows project work stacked for the time
period selected. We can also see current and archived projects listed in the
legend..

If I uncheck Include Proposed Bookings, the view and scale completely
changes. We no longer have a red line indicating availability. Instead, we
have a bar that goes up to the person's availability and then any assigned
work for that time period is stacked on top of that bar. The other odd thing
is that the bar that is supposedly reflecting work on a project, is not
reflecting the correct project. Meaning, if I uncheck the project in the
legend that corresponds to the color in the graph, I notice that the project
is a current project and did not exist in the time period selected.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated as I have not been able to
find any reference materials that address our issue.

Thanks!

AFter reading a few simliar posts and doing some digging, I believe I have
figured out why there appears to be an inconsistency.

For reasons I don't understand, when in the RA view, simply changing the
selection from showing proposed bookings to not showing proposed bookings is
not sufficient to propoerly update the graph. It requires the page to be
refreshed EACH time. Doing so causes the red availability line to reappear
and changes the legend to only show projects where the resource has committed
assignments.

Although I probably spent more time that I should trying to figure this out,
I think I will now be able to provide our execs with the pertinent
information they are requesting. I'll just chalk this up to training time.
;-)

Hope this is helpful to anyone who has posted this as an issue as well.
