Problem with Save Setting in Office 2007

I set the Word 2007 Option - Save setting to save in "97~2003 .doc" format,
however after restarting my computer, the save setting always return to
"word .docx" format.

The problem only occurs in my computer and one of my colleages computer and
does not occur in other computers (2 out of 12 computers).
All the computers have the Windows Vista Business and Office 2007 Standard
preinstalled.

Any idea where it went wrong?

The problem you are seeing usually occurs either because of a corrupted Data
key or a corrupted Normal.dotx... more likely the former. Delete or rename
this registry key and see if the problem goes away:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word
