Problem with SharePoint Public Documents

Hi,

We are having a problem with SharePoint. It is currently set up in our
environment and when I go to Admin -> Manage Windows SharePoint
Services (in PWA) and click on the PublicDocuments link, it opens a
window and brings me into the Public Documents site. However, if I
click on the Documents tab and try to drill down on Public Documents, I
receive the "there is a problem establishing a connection with the Web
Server running Windows SharePoint Services" error. I don't understand
why I can access the site from the Admin link but not under Documents.
Has anyone seen this before? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Todd:

I suspect that the service account you're using for the WSS Com object is
either improperly established or the password has expired, or has become
otherwise inoperable. When you connect through the admin link, you bypass
the impersonation step.
