problem with sharepoint server

Hi,

We have since a few week problems with our sharepoint service on MS Project
server 2003.
Error on the "Home Page" is

"There is a problem establishing a connection with the Web server running
Windows SharePoint Services. Contact your system administrator."

We have one MS Project Server 2003 SP2 with sharepoint service SP2
installed.

I try followings:
1.Go to admin -> manage windows sharepoint services
I connect to SharePoint Central Administration URL: http://bapp1:7765
Test URL
(this test was succesfull with the local admin account from the server)
2. I downloaded the tool PSCOMPlus.exe and updated the COM+ APPS with
local server\administrar
and password
3. I verify the public documents site
http://bapp1:80/sites/MS_ProjectServer_PublicDocuments succesfully.

I have still the same error on the "home page"

is the local server\administrar account a member of the SharePoint
Administrators Group? This can cause the error if it's not.

Yes, the local server administrator is member of the sharepoint
administrators group.

Hi,

I could solve the problem with following actions:
On the windows Project Server
1. start -> run and type cmd
2. proxycfg -d
3. proxycfg -d -p "ourproxyserver" "servername;ipadresse; FQDN"

Know it works.
