Problem with signature in new email

When I start a new email messsage only the last liine of my signature
appears. I have to highlight the blank area above and select the black font
color to make it show up. I tried creating a new signature in case the old
one was the problem but that didn't change things at all. Kind of a
painstaking workaround. Any suggestions?

Hello RoyG,

Sounds like you created your signature with a font color of white. You might
go back into the signature editor and make sure the font you're using in
there is black.

That's what I thought but the signature is set up properly. I also just
realized that anything I type as a message is in white so it doesn't show up
either. I cannot find anyplace to make a default selection of black for the
type.
