Problem with sql queries (functions english/spanish)

Hello, I have a problem with my spanish version access. When I make a query
and write some of the functions in english, access automatically translate
them into spanish (functions as simple as and, or, left, mid, etc.). If I
take a look at the sql view, the functions remains in english but when I run
the query, access says it doesn't understand the function, but the error
message says that the non-undestood function is the english one (ie.left) .
Does any one have a solution for this problem?
