problem with tables

I created a document with tables in Word 2002 using a
custom template. I made changes to the tables such as
deleting rows. The document is fine in XP. If someone
with 2000 opens the document, the deleted rows display as
well as the changed rows. Can you help with this?

Did you have Track Changes enabled while deleting?

I think so. Is that why it shows up in 2000 even when
tracking is turned off?

Yes. Until you actually accept the changes, you will see deleted text when
you're in a view showing markup. Turning Track Changes off is not enough.

That was it. I didn't realize it was mandatory to accept
changes. Thanks for the help.
