problem with terms, PO Number and Order number?

Hi,
Maybe I'm not in the good group for this, but being people designing
databases, I figured you'd probably know the answer to my question.

I have to design a invoicing software and I want to have the good terms in
french and in english.

When we order something (to our supplier), we have to give our PO(purchase
order) Number. but when someone order us something (when we become the
supplier), what is it called? I heard in french the terms "Numéro d'ordre"
and it would translate to Order Number. Is it the term used in the industry
or is it another term?
