Problem with the add-in Sound.exe in Office 2007

I run XP-SP3 on my laptop computer. Today I installed MS OFFICE 2007 Home and
Student Edition (only MS Word) and installed OFFICE SP2. I wanted Office to
have Office sounds like it does on my desktop. Therefore I installed the
Office Add-in - Office Sounds (sounds.exe). However, I am not getting any
sounds from it.

I do get XP sounds, and can play MP3 files in Media Player.

What could be the problem?

Thanks in advance for your help?

Thanks for your reply.

I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it twice. It still does not work. I
also tried uninstalled it and downloading/reinstalling it. That did not work
either.

Could it have something to do with the fact that the only application I
installed from Office 2007 was Word?

This may be a repeat of my reply. For some unknown reason - when I hit post
button- the Reply page came up again - without the reply i had just written.

Anyhow. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it twice. I even
uninstalled it and re-downloaded and installed the file. It still did not
work.

Could the problem be the fact that the only application from Office 2007 I
installed was Word?
