Problem with Triggering Animations

Using this group, I figured out how to trigger appearance of an object by
clicking on another object - thanks!

However, it doesn't seem to be working for me. I'm wondering if it's because
my "click on" object is invisible. Is it possible to trigger an event by
clicking on an invisible object?

Background: I'm trying to plan for a group "find the errors" activity. I'm
handing out a worksheet, and my slide has a picture of that worksheet
inserted. When someone points out one of the errors on the worksheet, I'd
like to be able to click on the corresponding spot on the slide and have it
pop up with an explanation of the error.

I know the invisible object does exist, as I can see it in the Selection &
Visibility pane. I have tried moving the invisible object to the front. But
when I click, it just moves to the next slide.

Working in PP2007. Thanks for any advice!

Not sure of the exact technique you are using (and I don't claim this is the
best way), but what I do is create my trigger object, set it to Appear "On
Click", then set the my target object/text box, to Spin/Zoom/Appear/whatever
"With Previous". I usually test it before changing the trigger to no
fill/outline.

I only started working with 2007 recently, so I just created a slide and
tested to make sure it works and it worked fine -- I even tested the trigger
in front of a text box.

Try giving the object a fill and setting it to 100% transparent.

If that doesn't work, then set it to 99% transparent.

I think PPT doesn't accept links to objects with no line and no fill. You
could just put a line on the object, but then the link will only be active
around the edges, and that's not very practical.
