Problem with user trying to download clipart

P

Peter Davies

One of our users cannot download clipart to her machine "This operation has
been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer...."
The user has local admin rights to the machine.

I dont have a problem with added rights, not domain admin. Other users are
ok.

Appreciate suggestions.

Hi Peter,

What version of Office and Windows? What
steps are being used and from where are you
downloading the clipart?

Hi Peter,

If you've already cleared the Temporary Internet
Files cache in the browser -

If the user selects [Open] rather than [Save}
will the .CIL download moved to the Clip Gallery?

When using the [Save] choice does changing to
the desktop of the MyDocuments folder make a difference
in being able to save?

If you get the same error then you may want to delete
the file association for the .CIL (Clip Gallery Download Package)
then use Start=>Run and type
Cag.exe
to reregister the file type,

You can also check with the information in this
article.

Thnxs for the reply Bob:

Windows NT is the O/S and Office2000. The site is
http://office.microsoft.com/clipart/default.aspx

Basically the user clicks on the image they want and click download and then
the save as box opens. Once the click the save button they get the error
message.

Hope this helps >>
