Hello guys! This is the first time i post a thread in this place.Well i am new
in the programming concept of access and i have a problem with security
issues. I created a database and i want this file to be shared in a network
by multiple users each of them having a different account because i want to
hide some things on the forms from some of the users. I created an mdw file
in my computer describing all the staff i want but i realized that when i
changed the mdw in a new database that one stayed with the old database also.
So if i try to make the mdb file shared each user when he tries to open the
database he will not be prompted to place a username and password because his
local mdw file will be launched.
I thought that i could copy my mdw file to every computer in the local
network but if someone knows a little bit on access he could open access,
create a new mdw file (probably the default) and so he could have access to
the database without be prompted to place a username and password.
Probably i lose sth in my reading but there is no solution i can find to let
many users in a network play with the database and don't have the same rights!
!
Thanks a lot for your time!!!!
