<cross-post from microoft.public.visio.installation>
I'm having problems with the visio 2003 publishing tool in so far as
Visio is unable to find the templates or stencils I've added. In some
of the many configurations I've tried Visio will place entries for the
menu paths I'm interested in creating into the Visio menu heirarchy,
but when I click on the file icon Visio errors out, saying:
I've downloaded the Visio 2003 SDK, built my own msi file (using Orca
and the Windows Installer SDK) and merged the PublishComponent Data
generated by the Solution Publishing Tool into my msi file. The msi
file seems to be constructed properly; when I install the files appear
where I want them to and the Windows shortcuts I create find the files
just fine. Both files and shortcuts are removed when I uninstall.
I Googled this fairly heavily, not to mention MSDNing it, to no avail.
Has anyone had or solved this problem?
Thanks in advance;
cori

An error occurred and this feature is no longer functioning properly.
Would you like to repair this feature now?
Repairing is unsuccessful.
