Problem with Word 2000 on machine with Cisco VPN client

We have a recurring problem with Word 2000 documents
being destroyed when they are being written on a w2k/xp
machine with Cisco VPN client installed. We are using
wordtemplates with drop-down list and text -fields. After
a while of writing all signs in the document becomes
converted, so nothing is readable anymore. The only
solution we have so far is to uninstall the VPN client
(v. 4.0.3.C), after that the problem does not reappear.
We need to be able to use Word and the VPN client
together without problem. We have tried the latest
version of the VPN client with no luck. Has anyone
experienced this? any suggestions or workarounds, or give
us an explanation of why this is a problem?

best regards

Hi,

As far as I can see, it seems to be a compatibility issue with Cisco VPN
client and Word. After checking the database, I found some similiar issues.
The resolution was to remove and reinstall Cisco VPN client as weel as
disable antivirus programs. If that doesn't work, I would suggest you
contact Cisio support for further assistance.

Sincerely,

Arnold Gao
