Problems accessing office update scan

each time I check http://office.microsoft.com/OfficeUpdate/default.aspx for updates and scan i get this message ----

The Office Update Catalog cannot be displayed Help
and it asks me to retry.

Any help would be appreciated!

I'm having the same problem. new pc and office xp. tried
everything! someone out there help us
