This is complicated, so please bear with me...
I have a program called Digital Photo Professional, distributed
through Canon. When I take a raw photo file and convert it to
either .tiff or ,jpeg, I get an error message window, from within
Stuffit Expander, which has mysteriously opened, saying the following:
"The file GNZ07D70A1A0A2107.vbf does not appear to be compressed or
encoded. It is advisable that you obtain further information about the
contents of this file from the sender or provider of this file."
A search of my hard drive reveals no such file.
A web search reveals the .vbf extension to be a 'Microsoft Outlook
Free/Busy File'.
I do not have Outlook installed on this machine.
Entourage has been crashing lately when trying to open an .html
formatted email from a trusted sender after sending the message before
it to the trash, usually on the order of 2 to 3 times a day.
What the heck is going on with Microsoft on my machine...?
I went to the support portion of the Mactopia site to find that I am 2
updates behind, so I will take care of that when I finish this.
But neither update seems to address the problem I am experiencing...
Thank you for your time and consideration...
