Problems after B2TBR

After updating to the TBR last week, i am now unable to open Onenote. I have
all the new logos at launch, but it opens a "No Notebook Opened" screen and
after a second or two i get an error stating that Onenote has not been
installed for the current user. Please run setup to install the application.
Click OK and Onenote closes. If i double click on a notebook i get the same
error.

When i try and re-run setup to reinstall Onenote i recieve an error about
c:\config.msi is not accessible or the system does not have permission to
update..

Thanks.

Try repairing OneNote first. Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Change
OneNote 2007. Click Repair.
Let us know if that works.

I looked for OneNote, but it was not listed. It was a seperate install from
the Office 2007 Beta 2 install. When i do a repair on Office2007, OneNote is
not listed. When i try to do a re-install and choose Onenote that is when i
get the C:\Config.msi error.

Thanks.

Reinstall won't work. You can't install a Beta 2 application after you
applied the B2TR patch.
So do you have OneNote currently installed or not? ON is a separate file
to install from the rest of Office. However, the B2TR patch that patches
the Office Beta 2 install also patches ON.
If you don't have ON installed right now, you will have to remove all of
Office 2007 (every single application), reinstall all the Office
applications you want as Beta 2 and then apply B2TR.

Well, i finally had some downtime and was able to get this fixed. Here are
the steps i had to perform to get this working.

1. Uninstall Office 2007
2. Reinstall Office 2007 Professional
3. Install Onenote 2007
a. Onenote would not install. Kept getting error 2711 (AceRepl.....
b. Had to do a Customized Install and ONLY select the Onenote 2007
core application to get ON 2007 to install.

4. Install Visio 2007

5. Re-Install TR Patch for Office
6. Re-Install TR Patch for Onenote.

Jason.
