We have recently moved our Project Server 2003 installation to a new server
and are now experiencing some problems.
As for software, the new server mirrors the previous server:
Windows 2003 Server SP1
SQL Server 2000 SP4
Windows SharePoint Services
Project Server 2003
A vast majority of Project Server works. However, when users update
timesheets they are not listed for managers to approve. Everything appears to
work correctly when the user clicks the 'Update All' button - it saves the
data and gives the correct information in the pop-up dialog, but there is
nothing in the project managers 'Updates' listing.
The other issue that I have encountered is that on the 'View enterprise
resources in Resource Center' (and only on that page) we receive the
following error:
---------------------------
VBScript: Microsoft Office Project Web Access 2003
---------------------------
An error occurred while trying to access the resources stored on the
database. Either there are too many resources, or the Project Server may not
have the correct DSN configuration. Contact the server administrator.
The process that I followed for this migration was to get Project Server
up-and-running on the new server, then backup the ProjectServer database on
the old server and restore it to the new server. Then I changed the
connection information using the EditSite utility (which reports that
everything passed).
I have also attempted a reinstall of ProjectServer with no change.
Any direction on what to look for or change would be appreciated. A solution
would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
