Eric
I am trying to connect to a Project 2007 Server from a Project 2007 client.
I can get to the Project Web Access site with my credentials, but it denies
me access via Project 2007.
I was thinking the post below might solve my problem:
---
1) Go to PWA
2) Click on 'Server Settings' in the nav. Click on 'Manage Groups'
3) Click on 'Project Managers' group. Add the user to this group.
In essence, to login from Project Professional, the user needs to have "Log
on to Project Server from Project Professional" global permission (this
global permission is given to the 'Project Managers' security group). Even
without this permission, users can potentially browse the PWA website - but
can't login using Project Professional.
---
However, I don't see anything called "Server Settings" or "Manage Groups"!
I see "People and Groups" on the left, and if I click there I see sections
called "Groups", "All People", and "Site Permissions". I must be in the
wrong place. Where should I go?
Thanks,
Eric
