Problems connecting to Exchange after 12.0.1 update

After installing the update from file (not Auto Update) to our Office
for Mac "test" machine, Entourage no longer wants to connect to our
Exchange 2007 SP1 server. Keeps returning the "Mail cannot be
recieved at this time: Bad username/password" error. The account is
fine as the user can log into OWA with no problems. I have recreated
the profile once already to no avail. The only thing left (as far as
I can see) is to reinstall Office back to 12.0.0. Any other ideas?

Still havent been able to figure out what the issue is, and now the
user does not want it re-installed. If she wasnt a manager I would
tell her "Oh Well". Thanks again for any help!

Can you verify that your Exchange Server has this hotfix applied?

"Exchange Server hotfix resolves Entourage login problems"
<http://blog.entourage.mvps.org/2007/05/exchange_server_hotfix_resolve.html>

IIRC, a hotfix is available for both Exchange Server 2003 and 2007.

Also, open the Keychain Access utility found in /Applications/Utilities
and select Keychain Access --> Keychain First Aid to check for problems
with the saved password.

Hope this helps!
