Problems connecting to Project Server 2007 with Project Professional 2007 Client

I have installed MS Project Server 2007 in stand-alone mode and am
trying to connect to a MS Project Professional 2007 client. I have
followed all of the documentation provided by Microsoft and still am
unable to connect. I receive the following error when MS Project
opens;

Project was not able to connect to Project Server because the
following error:

Project Server could not be contacted.

I am able to connect via Internet Explorer to Project Web Access with
the identical user credentials. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Greg,

Thanks for your help with this. This was the solution! I am now able
to connect the MS Project Professional client to the MS Project
Server.

Thanks,

Brad

Hi,

Check if the category in which the user is located and does that
allows connecting to Project Server using Project Professional. Most
cases, Team Members category don't have this option allowed.

Thanks,
Ravi.
