Problems copying multiple cells in Excel 2002

I have a user that is trying to copy multiple cells in a
spreadsheet and is choosing the cells at random using the
Ctrl key. Then she tries to paste the information into
another spreadsheet but Excel will paste additional cells
that were not choosen and in some cases there are is
duplicate information pasted into the spreadsheet. Even
though the duplicate records are not choosen.
