Problems copying to Word

When Copy/pasting a drawing in Visio to Word, what shows
up in word looks nothing like what was copied in visio.
Earlier, i ahd copied an entire sheet to show a before
look and then modify it to show an after look. when the
sheet was copied the first time, the dimensions were wrong
as I tried to copy a 1:1 into architectural units.
Correcting the units to 1:1 gave a similar look as the
original, however, it wouldn't copy back into word
correctly. Then I made a 1:1 copy from the 1:1 copy and
that appeared correctly in Visio, but not in Word. I'm
trying to avoid redoing the revised drawing. any ideas?

Additional Info - I posted the drawing to a new drawing
and it came up a whopping 1.4 MB when the original was
only 560k. The only visible difference between the
drawings was 10 red lines and 6 objects. Removing obvious
on the drawing except the border left me with 1.1 mb while
pulling the border only dropped it to 430kb. I don't know
if that adds additional insight to the problem but there
you have it.
