Problems customizing the Ribbon

I have been able to find the ui schema that details the different
specifications for programming the ribbon. I have been able to find the
Office Icon Gallery that lists all the icons from all the tabs in the Ribbon
by imageMSO name. Great!

I have been able to use the Custom UI editor to create my own Ribbon tab,
add toolbar buttons for left align and right align. My tab appears in the
Word Ribbon but the icons don't work. I can't seem to find how to connect
the icons to their respective commands.

What I want to do it to create my own toolbar with commands from the other
Ribbon tabs, the commands I use the most. I already know how to create a
Ribbon tab for my macros. The problem is connecting the toolbar icons to
existing Word commands like Save, Print, Align Right, etc.

You know how in Office 2003 you could create your own toolbar and put any
icons you wanted. That's what I want to do. Help please.

I should add, I don't want to buy third party software for this. I should be
able to program it in the Editor by making the right call to the right .dll.
That's my guess. Thanks.
