Good morning,
my users use to have huge PST files so I decided to put in place a GPO to
contro that.
I enabled the keys
Microsoft Office Outlook 2003/Miscellaneous/PST Settings
Policy Setting
Default location for PST files Enabled
Default location for PST files %HOMEDRIVE%\outlook\
Policy Setting
Large PST: Size to disable adding new content Enabled
Enter size to disable adding new content to PST (in megabytes)
(0 - 4,294,967,295 MB) 3221225471
Policy Setting
Legacy PST: Size to disable adding new content Enabled
Enter size to disable adding new content to PST (in bytes)
(0 - 2,075,149,312 Bytes) 1556361984
It looks like it is working but for the users that already had a PST over
these limits they get an error message when they try to delete mails. So they
are stuck, cannot add, move or delete from those oversized pst files.
I am using Windows 2003 server SP2 and office 2003 SP3.
Any suggestion?
thanks a lot in advance.
