I am attempting to develope and MSI install that will load and register
the client components for Project Server 2k3. However I cannot get the
components manually installed, which needless to say is preventing me
from making a working MSI.
Currently I following these directions
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...&DisplayLang=en . I am placing
the files in a subfolder of "Program Files" and then manually using
regserv32 on them (all returning successful results). However when I go
to the website for the project server I still and shown the EULA and
asked to install the activeX controls.
I have tried deploying both the DLLs from microsoft and the ones found
on our Project server and still the same result.
The one thing that I have noticed is that serveral sources point to
loading the DLLS and OCXs in the Downloaded Program Files folder, this
folder is unwriteable, eventhough I am an administrative user, must
these files be there?
