Problems download RSS Feeds in Outlook 2007

Hi,

I have just recieved a new PC, and setup my Outlook 2007 profile. I am
subscribed to about 50 RSS feeds, however, only about 10 of them are
appearing in Tools -> Account Settings -> RSS Feeds.
When I do a full send a recieve, i get dozens of the following error
messages in the send/recieve window.

Task 'RSS Feeds' reported error (0x8004010F) : 'The operation failed. An
object cannot be found.'

I have deleted the profile, and all RSS feeds, and created a new one, but
the same problem has occured.

All the RSS feeds are present and working on my laptop. The backend is
Exchange 2007. All products are RTM builds.

RSS in Outlook 2007 is fundamentally broken. It wasn't designed for anyone
who was seriously into RSS!

You would be better using one of the many online or application aggregators.

Jetbrains have just made their excellent Omea Reader available for free
download. Well worth a look and turn off RSS stuff in Outlook 2007.

There are also loads of other free RSS readers that are better than
Outlook's handling of newsfeeds.

Hi Ryan,

Please first confirm you have the Sync RSS Feeds to the Common Feed List
option checked. (Tools>Options>Other>Advanced Options>)

Then please confirm if the newly added feeds are listed in the
<profilename>.xml.kfl file. This is the Known Feeds List that Outlook 2007
uses to track RSS feed subscriptions that have already been added to the
profile.

If the feed is listed in this file, or if you need to re-synchronize any
feed from the Common Feed List back into Outlook you have two options:

- Add the RSS feed to Outlook manually
- Manually modify the <profilename>.xml.kfl file by removing the entry for
the feed.

In order to keep Common Feed List feeds from being added back into Outlook
- and possibly creating duplicates - all synchronized feeds are maintained
in the
<profilename>.xml.kfl file. This file is stored in the following folder:

\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook

When Outlook 2007 performs synchronization with the Common Feed List, any
feeds already listed in the <profilename>.xml.kfl file are not added to
Outlook. Any new feeds added to Outlook are also added into this file.

This is also the mechanism that keeps feed removed from Outlook (but still
in the Common Feed List) from being re-synchronized back into Outlook. If
you remove a feed from the Common Feed List it is also removed from the
<profilename>.xml.kfl file.

If it does not help, please send following information:

1. What is the version of IE?
2. What is the version of Windows?
3. Please provide screenshot on error message.

1. When this error message appears, press PrScrn key on your keyboard.
2. Type "mspaint" (without the quotation marks) in Start>Run box and click
OK.
3. Click Edit>Paste to paste the screenshot.
4. Save it as JPEG file type and send it as Email attachment.

1. Click Start>Run
2. Type "eventvwr" (without the quotation marks) and click OK.
3. Right click on the Application, and click Save Log File As¡­
4. Save it as TXT file format and send it as e-mail attachment.(Do not save
as EVT file format.)
