Problems downloading Excel 2007 Template

E

Echo S

I get "template not found." (Where in the process I get that depends on if
I'm on WinXP with IE6 and Office 2003 or Vista/IE7/Office 2007.) Seems
something's wrong with the link -- it's not anything you or your system is
doing.

I'll ping one of my contacts and see if we can get it fixed.

This specific template is a Community Submitted template. That means a user,
just like us, submitted it and it wasn't created by Microsoft. That being
the case it might be unavailable.

BUT, I did see a link in the preview for the template creator's web site
which requires sign-up and perhaps payment to obtain copies of the template
you can modify (it looks as though the template available for download
cannot be modified). I don't know for sure but it might be in violation of
the terms of agreement or perhaps considered abuse which could be why it's
unavailable?? Don't know for sure - that's just a guess.

Thanks.

I also noticed sinced the first time that I tried to download the template,
the number of downloads had increased from about 3 to 5,000 I think. I also
tried the link in the picture of the file too. On the site listed on the
link, it required a log in and approval to get access to the template. It
has been several weeks now since I requested the template from the site and I
still have not heard anything from them about the required username/password.

Oh, THAT'S funny! The number of hits increased from about 3 when you first
tried, to over 5,000 but only 5 users voted on it. Sounds like there have
been a lot of folks checking things out. (I'm not sure why I think it's
funny but for some odd reason it is.) I've asked about the possibility of
the link being a violation but haven't heard back yet. I recall something
about this from some time back but I don't remember the details.

Did you try any of the other Payroll calculator templates that are
available?

I have since downloaded another Payroll calculator and pay stub. I am most
interested in the pay stub template than the Payroll Calculator.

Thanks a bunch.
