Problems During Paste/Formatting of Tables From Excel to Word

J

Joan

I am using VBA based in an Excel spreadsheet to generate a large number (> 100) of large tables (some > 200 rows), which are then copied/pasted to a Word document. After pasting, they are formatted for appearance

During the pasting/formatting process, I have run into several problems. I add a line of text (font style HeadingX) above each table, and sometimes the text comes out Normal. Sometimes the tables are not formatted. Sometimes I receive an error in Excel (where the program is based) stating that it is waiting for an OLE operation to end in another application. I shut down the Word application (save & quit) every 10-15 tables, but that doesn't seem to help

Any suggestions

G'day "Joan" <[email protected]>,

I am sorry that I don't have the time to test some solutions for you.
Here is what I would be testing though:

export as CSV, import into Word (no styling available)

Converting tables to tabulated lists until the very end.

Various PasteSpecials

Also your styles may need to be set in the template for the new Word
Document.
