I want to do some testing with Instant Messenging using Outlook 2002 within
our environment before rolling it out to the rest of the users...
We have an Exchange 2000 server and I have made the required changes there
to enable instant messenging. Those changes involved creating an IM virtual
server and making sure that IM is enabled for the AD profiles I am using to
test with...
Back over on the Outlook 2002 client side, on my PC, I have enabled instant
messaging (Tools->Options->Other) but when I click on the "Options' button
there, I get a window that indicates that I need to have MSN Messenger 3.5
or later installed. I already have the most recent versions of both Windows
Messenger and Windows Live Messenger installed on my machine so I don't know
why Outlook is not seeing Windows Messenger as being installed. it does not
appear that Outlook is giving me any IM options at all.
Can someone help me out with what I need to do to have Instant messaging
actually functional within my Outlook 2002 client?
Thanks, Brad
