Problems getting back the outline window for a brainstorming diagr

I have Visio 2003 Professional in my office PC.
I have a brainstorming diagram with a multi-level outline (around 4 levels).
I do not get any warnings when I save the diagram but when I re-open it, the
outline is empty. When I add a new topic to this existing diagram, the new
topic does not appear in the outline window. The only way I can add a new
topic is to use the options off the outline window.

With me it works.
Don't you forget to expand the outline by clicking on the + signs ?

There are no + signs. Even when I export the outline it comes out empty.
