Problems in Viewing entire Project in Gantt Chart

I am using Project 2003 at work on Windows 2000. My method of
producing reports is to create Gantt charts and save these as PDF
files. I then distribute them to members of the editorial team. My
problem is that Project does not show the entire project tracking,
especially at the end of the project. I have tried adjusting the
timescale, month views etc but it still crops it off the end of the
project. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Please reply to
the list with a copy to (e-mail address removed).

With thanks!

You can format the timescale to include the entire project by right clicking
on the time scale in the gantt view and selecting "Zoom" then select "Entire
Project"

You can force the file to print on one page wide under File/Page Setup...
You may need to specify a larger paper size to accomodate the width. Here in
the USA I usually use 11x17 inches, A3 might work better for you.

You can check to see if Project is trying to put the last part of the time
scale on a separate page. Click File/Print Preview and look for left/right
arrows at the top left of the page. If there is a black right arrow then it
is printing to multiple pages.

Hope this helps

Sorry I'm not sure how to start a new question
Can some one tell me the difference between Microsoft Project Standard 2007
Full Version Student & Teacher and the standard version? Thanks

Many thanks Jim. It does appear to work however it changes the
timescale to quarters and what I want to show is year and month. Is
there a workaround to this problem?

Hi,

Format, Timescaele, set the sales to years and months.
If necessary experiment with the scale factor till you see the whole
project.

Hi Slubell,

I don't have a pdf print facility, but I guess it goes via the print dialog.
That dialog has the option to select the timescale to be printed. Set the
TO... date to be beyond the project finish date.

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)
